Cody Bell Takes Down $1,100 Heads Up

The Championship match in the 64-player $1,100 Heads Up - Event 29 in the LAPC - came down to the very final match with Cody Bell and Nick Phoenix tied at 1 game apiece.

Bell came out victorious in the final game, winning $23,000 as the overall champion, Phoenix collecting $13,000 as the runner-up.

The Heads Up Championship Match is Set

Nick Phoenix (Pictured, baseball cap) has defeated Gary Blackwood in one Semifinals match, with Cody Bell (pictured, sunglasses) ousting Nick Grippo on the other semifinal.

Bell and Phoenix are set now for the best 2-out-of-3 to determine the winner of $23,000 and the LAPC $1,100 Heads Up title. Runner-up receives $13,000.

20,000 stacks for each player, 15-minute levels, 30-second shot clock in play.

Blackwood and Grippo both receive $7,000 for their semifinals matches.

Nick Grippo has defeated Juan Aragon to capture the Clubs Bracket Championship and advance to the $1,100 Heads Up Semifinals, where he meets up with Cody Bell in a best 2-out-of-3 match.

Winner of the Grippo v Bell match moves on to the finals to face the winner of the Gary Blackwood v. Nick Phoenix semifinal.

Aragon earns $3,500 for his finish.
