Ping Liu Scores First Ever Cash at Commerce Casino, Wins Event 41 $570 NLH Double Stack for $94,765

Ping Liu is having quite the year. With 2 final tables and 5 cashes, he currently leads the WPT Player of the Year standings. With all of his successes and impressive resume, however, Ping had yet to have an in the money finish here at Commerce Casino. That all changed the moment Tournament Coordinator Justin Hammer gave him a lucky LAPC hoodie, which undoubtedly played a huge role in his first place finish in Event 41, the $570 NLH Double Stack.

After beating out a field of 1179 players for the outright victory, Ping celebrated with his wife Cathy (WPT staff legend), and took home $94,765, 35 Player of the Series points, and the Remington. A complete list of winners can be found below.
