Bobby Suer Leads and William @WHungSpeaking Hung Adavances Into Day 2 of CPS Main Event

The 219 entries for day 1B of the Main Event was supposed to see 18 players advancing to day 2, but after a double elimination on the last hand of the night, 17 players put their chips into bags, and LA regular Bobby Suer had the most of them. Suer bagged 750,000 to lead day 1B as well as the overall chip lead. Some other familiar faces advancing to day 2 from this flight are Huy “Turtle” Nguyen (476,000), Peter “Day 2 Pete” Hengsakul (437,000), William Hung (325,000), Vince Salvator (265,000), and Frank “The Tank” Lin (120,000). People may remember William Hung from his American Idol fame, and oh baby when he moves into day 2, he’ll look fine with a slightly below average stack.

With 383 entries, it looks as though the tournament will soar over the $500,000 guarantee. The final flight will start Saturday at 1pm, and registration remains open until 5:30pm. Follow along here for updates on day 1C as we move closer to day 2 and eventually declaring our champion. For a complete list of chip counts and results, see below.
