Elvis Toomas looked to be in great shape to secure a big double up, when he got his final chips in preflop holding [Ad][Ah], dominating the [As][Ks] of Adam Demersseman. The flop of [10d][6s][2s] gave Demersseman new life, and he picked up even more outs with the [Jh] turn. He wouldn’t get the queen, but the [Js] on the river did give him a flush.
Toomas took the bad beat in stride as he hit the payout desk, while Demersseman also showed no emotion despite the huge suckout.
This gets us to our final seven players.
