LAPC25 Saturday Recap and Current POTs Standings

Today saw our very own blogger Kevin Taylor go deep in yet another LAPC tournament, final tabling the Event 18 $350 Action Clock No Limit Hold'em. The 30 second clock was very well received, and it was local legend Roma Labelle that would take the title. Peter Neff would end up breaking the tie for the overall Player of the Series standings by playing the tournament, while Craig Chait took a couple of days off and should be back in the fight this week.

The TOE Event saw some new players make waves in the Mixed POTs with John Prather of Seattle Washington receiving the most points and the Remington for his win of Event 19.

The Social Experiment II had 380 players attempt to go without phones, hoods, sunglasses and headphones while trying to get a piece of the $100k guaranteed prize pool, which ended up over $112k. 48 players will return on Sunday. Roy Park sits with an above average stack, and a shot at taking over the NLH POTs leaderboard. Play resumes at 1pm on Sunday

The final Event of the day was the half NLH half PLO which drew 89 players. Paul Vinci will take the chip lead into day 2, and a great shot at getting near the top of the Mixed and the Overall POTs leaderboard.
