Some Chip Counts From the $1,100 Event

Blinds: 400-800 Players Left: 36 Average 43,000

Nicholas Grippo has just taken the chip lead after a huge cooler saw a sea of chips flow his way. Grippo was three handed with Massoud Eskandari and another opponent on a completed board of [Jh][6s][5h][8s][9s]. We only caught the aftermath, but according to the table, Eskandari fired out 5,000, Grippo raised, and their other opponent moved all in. Eskandari folded what he said after was a jack high flush, and Grippo immediately called. His opponent had [As][5s] for an ace high flush, but it was second best to the [10s][7s] of Grippo, a straight flush! Here's how his stack, and a few others, look now.

Nicholas Grippo - 155,000
Harry Arutyunyan - 115,000
Daniel Strelitz - 95,000
Peter Hengaskul - 78,000
Jared Kawalsky - 38,000
Patrick Chan - 31,000
Kevin Song - 26,500
Phong "Turbo" Nguyen - 22,000
Adam Levy - 20,000
