Walter Fisher Eliminated in 2nd Place ($43,870), Andreas Dassopoulos is the Winner!

On the final hand of the tournament, Walter Fisher moved all in for about 8.5 million. Andreas Dassopoulos thought it over for a bit before calling, and he saw that he had a slight lead.

Fisher: [Kh][Jd]
Dassopoulos: [As][10d]

The flop of [8s][3s][7c] didn't help either player, and the [Ah] on the turn sealed the deal for Dassopoulos. Fisher will take home just under $44,000 for his efforts, but the night belongs to Andreas Dassopoulos, who takes home $62,455, and the Remington Trophy.

Thanks for tuning in for all of the updates, and congratulations again to our big winner, Andreas Dassopoulos!

Dassopoulos Picks Off Bluff to Retake Lead

A scary runout of [Qc][Js][8c][Ac][Kc] saw Walter Fisher fire 5 million on the river. Andreas Dassopoulos thought for about a minute before calling, and Fisher could only muster up [Js][6s] for a pair. Dassopoulos showed [Ks][10c] for a flush, and he takes a big lead once again, 22 million to 10 million.

Andreas Dassopoulos Doubles Up Again

Andreas Dassopoulos moved all in for his final 6.7 million, and after some moments of thought, Walter Fisher called, only to see the bad news.

Fisher: [9d][8d]
Dassopoulos: [Jc][8d]

Dassopoulos had him dominated, and his hand would stay true on the runout of [Ks][10s][3d][Kc][8c].

Walter Fisher - 19 million
Andreas Dassopoulos - 13.5 million

Fisher's Turn to Double Big

On the turn of a board reading [Kd][10h][7h][9d], Walter Fisher moved all in for 8.7 million. Andreas Dassopoulos, who mumbled a comment about how he was ready to get out of here, made the call.

Fisher: [Ks][9c]
Dassopoulos: [10d][8s]

Dassopoulos was looking for a jack, ten, or six to win the hand, but the river didn't bring any of those cards.

Walter Fisher: 23.5 million
Andreas Dassopoulos: 8 million

Andreas Dassopoulos Doubles into the Lead

After a flop of [Qs][8c][4h], Andreas Dassopoulos and Walter Fisher get all of the money in the middle. Fisher had [8d][6d] for middle pair, but he was in about as rough a shape as you can be in, as Dassopoulos had [8h][8s] for middle set. Fisher could only win with a runout of seven and five, and while the [7h] did come on the turn, the [6s] on the river didn't provide the miracle.

With that pot, Andreas Dassopoulos takes the chip lead for the first time in this heads up battle, now holding 20 million to the 12 million of Fisher.

What's Coming Up: Monday, January 23rd

We have two more events kicking off tomorrow at our usual times of 1 and 5 PM. First, we go back to the non-hold'em events with a $350 buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha Event. Players will start with 10,000 in chips, and registration will be open until 5:30 PM. Re-entry will also be allowed in that time, and this is a two day event, with the finals resuming at 2 PM on Tuesday.

At 5 PM, we have a $240 buy-in Survivor Event. The goal in that event is to get to the top 10%. When that mark is reached, the tournament will end, and the remaining players will divide the prizepool up immediately, regardless of their chip stacks. Players will get 7,500 to start with in that one, with registration open until 7:15 PM.

Walter Fisher Takes First Big Hand

Walter Fisher raised to 1 million, and Andreas Dassopoulos rereaised to 3.2 million. Fisher called, and the flop came down [4h][3h][3c]. Dassopoulos bet out 2.5 million, and Fisher didn't take long to announce all in. .
Dassopoulos tapped the table before mucking his hand, and a huge pot was sent over to Fisher.

Walter Fisher - 23 million
Andreas Dassopoulos - 9 million

Sanjay Mayekar Eliminated in 3rd Place ($28,350)

Andreas Dassopoulos raised to 900,000, and Sanjay Mayekar moved all in for his final 3.5 million. Walter Fisher folded, Dassopoulos quickly called, and it was a familiar site to the table.

Dassopoulos: [Ah][Ac]
Mayekar: [Ad][Jh]

The flop of [9c][6d][3d] left Mayekdar drawing to runner runner, and the [9s] on the turn ended things.

This leaves Dassopoulos and Fisher dead even in chips with 16 million a piece, but neither player is talking deal, so we are playing it out!

Three Handed Chip Counts on Break

Blinds: 200,000-400,000

Walter Fisher - 16.1 million
Andreas Dassopoulos - 12 million
Sanjay Mayekar - 3.7 million

By the Numbers: $175 All in or Fold Bounty

The All in or Fold Bounty Event drew a total of 133 players, creating a prize pool of over $30,000 with the $50 bounties included. The final 17 players will be in the money, all locking up at least $510. First place will take home $7,490, their bounties, and the Remington Trophy. Good luck everyone!

16-17. $510

Martin Zamani Eliminated in 4th Place ($20,960)

Andreas Dassopoulos raised to 800,000 from the small blind, and Martin Zamani thought for about 30 seconds before moving all in for 4.2 million. Dassopoulos quickly tossed a chip in for the call, and Zamani saw he was on the wrong end of a big cooler.

Zamani: [Jh][Js]
Dassopoulos: [As][Ac]

The flop of [8h][7d][6h] didn't give Zamani any help, and the [Ad] on the turn ended things for Zamani. The [Ah] on the river gave Dassopoulos quad aces, and also draws him even with Walter Fisher for the chip lead.

Andreas Dassopoulos - 12.5 million
Martin Zamani - OUT

Ricardo Gonzalez Eliminated in 5th Place ($15,940)

Ricardo Gonzalez moved all in preflop holding [Ad][6c], but he was dominated by the [Ac][Kd] of Walter Fisher. The flop of [8h][3d][8h] gave Gonzalez some chop outs, as did the [Ah] on the turn, but the [2s] on the river provided no help.

That gets us down to just four players. Still, we haven't heard any rumblings of a chop possibility.

Updated Chip Counts From the Final Five

Blinds: 125,000-250,000  Average: 6.4 million

Walter Fisher - 12 million
Andreas Dassopoulos - 8.9 million
Sanjay Mayekar - 4.3 million
Martin Zamani - 4.2 million
Ricardo Gonzalez - 1.5 million

Sanjay Mayekar Doubles Up Now

Sanjay Mayekar moved all in preflop after Martin Zamani raised, and Walter Fisher moved all in over the top, easily having the table covered. Zamani folded, and we were off to the races.

Mayekar: [Ad][Kc]
Fisher: [Qh][Qc]

The flop of [Kd][Jd][5c] gave Mayekar the lead, and he kept it on the [2d] turn and [Kc] river.

Ricardo Gonzalez Doubles Up

Ricardo Gonzalez moved all in with [Ac][10d], and he was ahead the [Kd][2d] of Walter Fisher. The board came down [Js][5c][4s][Qc][9c], and Gonzalez puts the smallest of dents in Fisher's stack.

Walter Fisher - 12 million
Ricardo Gonzalez - 2.1 million

Ming Zhu Eliminated in 6th Place ($12,960)

Ming Zhu moved all in preflop holding [Ah][3d], and he was in bad shape against the [As][Qd] of Martin Zamani. The board ran down [Jh][9h][8d][6c][10c], and Zamani made an unnecessary straight to knock out Zhu.

Martin Zamani - 4.5 million
Ming Zhu - OUT

Hovik Keshishyan Eliminated in 7th Place ($10,490)

Hovik Keshishyan moved all in for 350,000, and he was called by Walter Fisher and Martin Zamani. The flop came down [Js][5s][4c], and Zamani bet 200,000. Fisher folded, and the hands were revealed.

Zamani: [Jd][9c]
Keshishyan: [Ac][9h]

Keshishyan was looking for an ace and an ace only, but the turn was the [6c] and the river the [10c].

This gets us down to just six players. As of yet, there haven't been any talks of a chip chop.

Martin Zamani - 2.6 million
Hovik Keshishyan - OUT

Hayden Aalvik Eliminated in 8th Place ($8,350)

Hayden Aalvik moved all in from early position, and chip leader Walter Fisher put him at risk.

Aalvik: [Ad][Jh]
Fisher: [Ac][6c]

Fisher needed some help to score the knockout, and he got that help on the [Ks][4h][6h] flop. The [6s] on the turn ended the hand, and to rub some salt in the wounds, the [Jc] on the river completed the board.

Walter Fisher - 13 million
Hayden Aalvik - OUT

Aces Aces Everywhere!

Hayden Aalvik moved all in from early position, and Martin Zamani moved all in for more on the button. The blinds folded, and the table got a kick out of the hands that were revealed.

Aalvik: [Ad][As]
Zamani: [Ah][Ac]

Neither player appeared too happy to see the other hand, and while Aalvik got two diamonds on the flop, but no other help, and it was a chopped pot.

Zhu Doubles Through Keshishyan

Ming Zhu moved all in for his final three big blinds, and Hovik Keshishyan moved all in over the top. Everyone else folded, and Zhu saw he was in rough shape.

Zhu: [Kd][8d]
Keshishyan: [10h][10c]

Zhu jumped out to the lead on the flop of [Kh][Js][7h], and Kesishyan wasn't able to catch up, as the board finished out [2h] and [4c].

Ming Zhu - 1.4 million
Hovik Keshishyan - 800,000

Andrew Miramontes Eliminated in 9th Place ($6,260)

Andreas Dassopoulos limped in from early position, and Ming Zhu did the same. Two seats over, Andrew Miramontes moved all in for around 2 million. Dassopoulos called, Zhu folded, and we were off to the races.

Dassopoulos: [9h][9d]
Zhu: [As][Kc]

The flop of [Jc][10d][10c] gave Miramontes a few more outs, and the [7c] on the turn meant he could hit nearly half the deck to win. However, the [4h] on the river was no help to him, and he was kncoked out in ninth place.

Hrach Khachikyan Eliminated in 10th Place ($5,140)

Hrach Khachikyan moved his short stack all in with [Ad][7s], and two seats over, Ricardo Gonzalez moved all in for more with [Ac][10d].  The board would run down [9h][9s][8s][Qc][3s], and Gonzalez scored the knockout to get us down to nine.

Ricardo Gonzalez- 2.6 million
Hrach Khachikyan - OUT
